About

The Austin Digital Heritage Project(PDF) is a growing coalition of for profit and non-profit partners that leverages E4 Youth’s Creative Leadership Academy to promote digital and cultural literacy throughout the community. College-aged youth work with industry professionals in immersive media and technology to collect and curate oral histories of Austin’s residents of color into a virtual archive.

ADHP also empowers elementary and middle school youth participating in sister nonprofit enrichment programs to learn how to tell their stories using E4 Youth’s innovative immersive storytelling curriculum “VR Remix Party”. Our goal is to increase digital literacy by introducing students to coding fundamentals as they use a web browser and simple digital tools to explore their neighborhoods and create location-based immersive media experiences about their lives.
